Timothy Cleary
Timothy Cleary is a National Manager in Exploration for Terracon’s in situ and direct push site investigation service line. For over 30 years Mr. Cleary has been leading field exploration and site investigation operations serving consulting engineers and geologists. Mr. Cleary has a Bachelor of Science in Geology from SUNY Oswego and studied geotechnical engineering at North Carolina State University.
Prior to joining Terracon, Mr. Cleary has worked in as a petroleum geologist, geotechnical engineer and operations manager within exploration for both engineering consultants and drilling contractors leading operations for geotechnical and environmental drilling, direct push and in situ testing. His experiences have taken him offshore as he was an operations manager for an international deep-water marine investigation contractor as well as managing numerous contracts for several DOTs, USDOE, USACE and large energy clients.
Mr. Cleary responsible for leading Terracon’s in situ exploration capabilities, practices and presence to be an industry leader in Cone Penetration Testing (CPT), dilatometer testing (DMT), Field Vane Shear Testing (FVST) and pressuremeter testing (PMT) as well as instrumentation installations. His oversight includes procurement of equipment, operational practices, data presentation and quality assurance compliance.
