Dr. Sumesh Arora is Program Manager for Diversity and Workforce Strategies at Entergy where is responsible for developing programs and strategic partnerships to nurture the next generation talent in the utility industry. Sumesh has over 34 years' experience in the public and private sectors. He was the former director of a state energy office, and vice president of a USDOE funded non-profit organization focused on cleantech innovation, entrepreneurship, and technology commercialization. He began his career as a researcher in the chemical process industry. Dr. Arora has testified before the United States Senate in support of advanced biofuels and was appointed to the DOE's State Energy Advisory Board by the former US Energy Secretary. He has over 120 publications and presentations including three book chapters and two patents. Sumesh has a Ph.D. in International Development and BS/MS in engineering. He is an adjunct faculty at the Southern Miss College of Business since 2011.
