Sadra Javadi, Ph.D.

Dr. Javadi is a geostructural engineer in Terracon’s GeoDesign team located in San Diego, CA, with over 10 years of experience in the field of geotechnical engineering.

Dr. Javadi received Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from University of Tabriz in 2008.; Master of Science degree in Geotechnical Engineering from K.N. Toosi University of Technology in 2012; Environmental Engineering Certificate from University of Louisville, KY in 2016; and PhD degree in Civil Engineering from University of Louisville, KY in 2017.

He has worked on a variety of transportation, energy, commercial, and residential development projects. His geotechnical engineering experience includes subsurface investigations utilizing both traditional drilling and sampling techniques and pressure meter testing, engineering analysis (shallow and deep foundations, slope stability, seepage analysis, settlement analysis, retaining walls, flexible and rigid pavements), numerical modeling and finite element analysis, recommendations for geotechnical design and construction, and design of geotechnical related aspects of projects.

He also is serving as a solar subject matter expert (SME) for Terracon’s nationwide offices. He has over 6 years of experience managing and providing expert consultants for solar projects. For solar farm projects, he has been involved with geotechnical field investigation, performing and supervising pile load test programs for steel pile foundations, reducing and analyzing pile load test data, performing pile embedment analysis, and reporting.

In addition, he has gained experience in designing foundations for bridge and high-rise commercial and residential structures, analyzing/calculating and preparing structural details for foundations through various high-profile projects.
