Preston is a senior plant mechanical engineer at Platte River Power Authority, with nine years of power generation industry experience. He started with Siemens Energy, Inc. as a field service engineer working on steam turbines before joining Platte River. He is the lead engineer for O&M and capital projects on both the steam turbine and five combustion turbines. Preston has his professional engineering license in machine design and materials. He spearheaded Platte River's innovative upgrade of one of the five frame combustion turbines for the organization. This turbine is the only one with this combustion system in the world.
