Phee Friend is the Director of Workforce Development for Day & Zimmermann. Phee joined Day & Zimmermann in July 2024, with the goal of elevating the company’s understanding, agility, and presence in the workforce development arena through development of key partnerships, strategies, and holistic operating procedures and standards. Prior to D&Z, he served the Alabama Department of Commerce’s Workforce Development Division as Workforce Development Manager. Among his many responsibilities, Phee developed and implemented Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) programing for the six WIOA Local Areas that make up Alabama’s Governor’s Local Workforce Areas. Phee earned a Bachelor of Science in Health Services Administration from Auburn University.
