Omar's career at Siemens Energy began in 2008. As a Total Plant Product Manager, Omar leads plant assessments for fossil and nuclear units, as well development activities for synchronous condenser conversions. Prior to his current role, Omar specialized in the business development and market introduction of electrolyzer and Power-to-X Solutions in North America. Based in Orlando, Omar brings over 20 years of experience in product development and portfolio management, with a strong focus on expanding Siemens Energy’s power plant portfolio and solutions. Prior to joining Siemens Energy, Omar spent eight years at General Electric’s (GE) aviation division, where he earned a Six Sigma Green Belt certification.

Omar holds a Bachelor of Electromechanical Engineering degree from the Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey (ITESM) and an MBA from the Crummer Graduate School of Business at Rollins College.
