Michael James was named senior manager, smart operations in December 2024.

In this capacity, he leads a team responsible for the operational strategies, standards, cost development, staffing levels, new technology operations,

and operations questions for all new builds including renewable and storage assets within the power generation fleet.

James joined the company in 2008 as a team lead at Ninemile Point. He has held several positions in power generation including plant manager, asset manager and regional engineering manager.

James holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Saginaw Valley State University and a professional engineer’s license in the state of Texas.

James and his family live in Jennings, Louisiana
