President / CEO, Frontline Global Services

Kevin B. Sapp President & CEO

Kevin Sapp is the President and CEO of Frontline Global Services, Inc. (“Frontline”), a Houston, TX-area based company specializing in Turnkey Industrial Services, especially System Decontamination, High-Velocity Oil Flushing, High-Velocity Chemical Cleaning, Fluid Purification and Varnish Eradication. Frontline, founded in 2012, is a continuation of Kevin’s prior industrial services company, Industrial Action Services, Inc. (IAS), founded in 2008, which was also headquartered in the Houston, TX area and operated satellite branches in Canada (CAN-AK Industrial Services & IAS Canada, Inc.) and in The Middle East/North Africa Region (IAS Gulf, FZE); all wholly owned and operated individually as a regionally strategic entities in their respective market geographies.

Kevin is a veteran industrial services entrepreneur and oil & gas industry professional with more than 25 years’ experience building and leading technical service companies. Over his career, he has completed projects for over 1,000 corporate, private, government & military clients at over 500 project sites in the U.S., Canada, Europe, Central & South America, Oceania, Africa & The Middle East/North Africa geographies. Kevin has over two (2) decades of leadership experience in the industry, with a predominantly strong focus on business development, operations, management, engineering and sales. Since 1999, Kevin along with his exceptional group of colleagues, has completed over 5,900 individual service projects to-date, worldwide.

Kevin is an experienced industry expert in the fields of lubrication, tribology, oil analysis, chemical cleaning, system design, and condition monitoring in new construction, pre-commissioning, equipment commissioning, turnarounds and outages, unplanned failure events, and routine maintenance settings.

Kevin has significant field, management and leadership experience working in the following industrial settings: petrochemical, refining, steel and primary metals, military & aerospace, hydroelectric, power generation, natural gas transmission, pipeline, nuclear, pulp & paper, mining, LNG, marine, bulk storage & systems, and commercial equipment, systems and construction.

In 1998, after graduating from Texas A&M University, Kevin was recruited by Chevron and it’s Houston-Based Chevron Fuels & Lubrication Marketer, The Hurt Company, to serve as a field lubrication engineer for Chevron major accounts. In that role, Kevin served in a technical and sales role supporting Chevron’s petrochemical and mining strategic accounts. Kevin specialized in plant reliability management, especially through lubrication and tribology, for rotating, reciprocating, and fluid power (hydraulic) equipment assets.

In 1999, Kevin and his team launched Chevron’s ISOCLEAN Solutions program for the Gulf Coast, which pioneered the concept of coupling ISO cleanliness specifications services to ongoing fluid management programs, mostly conducting these services at customer facilities, and overseeing their integration into the existing fuels & lubrication products business.

From 2000-2005, and subsequent to his initial technical operations and sales roles with Chevron, Kevin pioneered and was the General Manager of FRS, a subsidiary of The Hurt Company, which, in partnership with Chevon Global Energy, took industrial services to the next level by performing more advanced, event-oriented projects at customer facilities during both planned and unplanned maintenance events. These next-level services included High-Velocity Oil Flushing, Chemical Cleaning and advanced Fluid Purification projects during plant turnarounds and outages.

From 2005-2008, Kevin served as President and was a stakeholder of RSI, a Houston-Based JV focused on Turnkey, On-Site Fluid Purification, System Decontamination and Condition Monitoring of Rotating Equipment Assets in the U.S. Gulf Coast Petrochemical Market.

From 2008-2016, Kevin was the President, CEO and also the owner of Industrial Action Services, Inc. (IAS) and its group of regionally affiliated satellite companies in Canada (CAN-AK Industrial Services & IAS Canada, Inc.) and in The Middle East/North Africa Region (IAS Gulf, FZE). IAS and it’s satellite companies performed Turnkey Services including Advanced On-Site Fluid Purification, System Decontamination, Condition Monitoring and Varnish Mitigation.

In January, 2016, after eight years of organic growth and success, the North American (U.S. & Canada) services-related assets of IAS were sold into a private equity-funded conglomeration of companies in order to form a composite group of organizations that provided services in a slightly different market segment and manner. Kevin served as a Business Development Manager for the investment company until 2019 to help coordinate a successful transition process. In that role, Kevin’s responsibilities included corporate strategy, business development and client management to drive business growth and market share in desired areas.

In 2019, three years later, after completing his steering tasks related to the 2016 P/E business, and near to the beginning of the Covid-19 Pandemic, Kevin was able to refocus his efforts back to IAS’ former niche of Turnkey Industrial Services through his company Frontline Global Services. Frontline, now a decisive continuation of the successes and accomplishments IAS realized in the years prior to Covid-19, was charged with the post-Covid reconstitution of turnkey services success through a strategic refocusing effort on long-established customers which were in need of direct support from Frontline’s team of tenured industry experts, now under the Frontline banner.

2019 – Present, Kevin serves as the President, CEO and Owner of Frontline Global Services, Inc. Kevin originally formed Frontline in 2012 as an Energy Industry consulting company, but has now expanded its mission to service the market segments & customers previously serviced by IAS, which had been disregarded leading up to 2019. Frontline is now the preeminent provider of turnkey industrial services in its areas of specialization in both North America and other international geographies. Frontline staunchly serves its customers and all business opportunities in markets such as refining, petrochemical, power generation, defense, natural gas transmission, heavy-manufacturing, steel, and oil & gas production all while having avoided any layoffs during the Covid-19 pandemic and continuing to achieve record-breaking, year-on-year growth over the last five (5) years.

Early on, shortly after graduation from Texas A&M University, Kevin was distinguished as the youngest Dual-Certified CLS & OMA professional by the Society of Tribologists and Lubrication Engineers. Kevin has been a frequent educator and speaker on Industrial Services, Tribology, Oil Analysis, Process Safety, Lubrication, Chemical Cleaning, Maintenance and Equipment Reliability to leading businesses, plant professionals and at industry symposia. Kevin has been an instructor and guest speaker at various conferences and trade show venues, provided technical training to a large number corporate customers and peer groups, and taught hundreds of courses over the last 25 years. Throughout his career, Kevin has been active in numerous civic roles and in various industry associations.

"This is my first year at POWERGEN and so far I can just say, wow, this event is huge. I never thought I would have access to so many different vendors and so many different experts in the energy industry by coming to an event like this."
Caitlyn Watkins

"It's my first time at POWERGEN. I'm having a great time walking around and seeing all of the booths in the exhibit hall and everything that everybody's trying to sell me, as well as a lot of very useful technical presentations. My particular favorite has been the carbon capture track, but they've all been good that I've attended so far."
Janelle Dana
Entergy
"Hi, I’m Chad Lemoine with Entergy... here as a corrective actions program specialist. It’s my first time at POWERGEN, so it’s been great for networking. I’ve met personnel at our plants I’d only talked to on the phone, so that face-to-face interaction has been really good. I’ve enjoyed meeting new people, learning about what they do, and how it interacts with my work... Overall, it's been a really good time."

"I think my favorite part of the conference has been essentially the Smarter Power Plant Track. There's been a lot of good [takeaways] for us because our plans are quite old, so there's a lot of manual readings and things, but me being the IT generation, I think it could be done better. So having a lot of these [takeaways] from companies who have [accomplished what] we are wanting to do is great. It's been really eye opening networking with all of the exhibitors [as well]. It's my first time here, but I don’t think it's going to be my last."

“Nel’s chosen to sponsor and be part of POWERGEN because it's one of the more important shows in the hydrogen market, also the power generation market in general. Over the years, we've seen a shift in POWERGEN from more traditional power generation to a greater presence with renewables, and now with hydrogen, as an energy source, moving into the future.”
Chris Van Name
Nel Hydrogen
“We're here today at the conference because I believe this is the largest power generation conference there is in the country. One, it's a way to get our name out and that's why we're sponsoring it. But two, it's also a great way to connect with other groups, other organizations and, you know, meet the people who are actually important for our own progression as a company.”
James Walker
Nano Nuclear Energy, Inc
“We come to POWERGEN every year because it's a great show you can make great contacts in the renewable space, great contacts in the data center space, great contacts in the commercial industrial space. So that's why we're here every year. You should be here too.”
