Kevin Riner is an accomplished energy industry leader with over 15 years of experience in power generation and operational excellence. A 2008 graduate of the University of Kansas with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering, Kevin began his career as a project engineer and progressed through key roles in engineering, maintenance supervision, operations, and reliability.

Today, as Director of Combustion Turbines at Evergy, Kevin oversees a fleet of 28 combustion turbines and leads a team of highly skilled professionals dedicated to ensuring reliable, affordable, and sustainable energy delivery. His leadership emphasizes operational efficiency, asset reliability, and strategic planning to support Evergy’s mission of powering communities responsibly.

Kevin is recognized for his ability to drive performance improvements, foster collaboration across teams, and implement innovative solutions that enhance system resilience. His deep technical expertise and commitment to continuous improvement position him as a trusted leader in the evolving energy landscape.
