James Brown is Vice President of Power Generation Technologies supporting Fluor‚ Energy Solutions business lines. He has responsibility to provide strategic, operational, and technical guidance building the capabilities and success of Fluor projects that include power generation or associated technologies and facilities. He is also engaged with supporting the commercialization of Fluor technologies and Fluor partner technologies.
Prior to this assignment, he led the Fluor Operations & Maintenance business line for the North America region. In this role, he was accountable for profitability, strategy, client relationship management, and operations in the US and Canada delivering integrated solutions to the oil & gas, industrial, and power markets in the areas of plant and facility operations, maintenance, modification projects, and asset management.
He has also previously served as the Vice President and General Manager of the Greenville office with responsibility for engineering, project support, and facilities for the 2,000+-employee campus. In this role, he supported all of the Fluor business markets including Infrastructure, Mining & Metals, Energy & Chemicals, Power, Government, Stork, and Life Sciences & Advanced Manufacturing.
His Fluor experience, which began in over 35 years ago, includes a variety of operations and management responsibilities for projects and clients around the world. He served as head of Power functional operations with responsibility for leading resource support and facilities for Fluor‚ fossil generation, nuclear, and renewables business globally.
