Jake Silhavy
Jake Silhavy is a senior consultant at Sargent & Lundy. Jake has a depth of experience managing independent engineering projects in support of tax equity and debt financing for various renewable technologies including solar PV, solar-plus-storage, standalone storage, and wind (greenfield and repower) projects. In both an independent and owner’s engineering capacity for solar PV projects in particular, he has prepared useful life assessments to evaluate and inform project sponsors and financiers of key considerations around projects’ operating life. Jake also has depth of experience preparing bankable energy yield and solar resource assessments, including degradation analyses, to improve energy yield forecasting over the asset’s intended operating life. Jake has led multidisciplinary teams on dozens of solar PV projects in the past five years and has expertise in the development, financing, and construction of power plants and storage projects. He has a BS in energy engineering from UC Berkeley.
