Hootan Zirakzadeh is an application engineer at Baker Hughes. Baker Hughes is an energy technology company that combines innovation, expertise and scale to provide solutions for energy and industrial customers worldwide.

Hootan has served, over more than a decade, in different roles from design engineering, consulting engineering, field and service operations, and recently as an application engineer where he has provided multi-million dollar solutions to customers in oil and gas and turbomachinery world.

He has dual Master of Science degrees in Mechanical Engineering from University of Tehran, and Texas A&M University with mulitple scientific publications in reputable journals and conferences. Hootan also holds an MBA from Rice University.

In his spare time, Hootan enjoys traveling, reading, hiking and challenging others as a highly skilled Backgammon player.
