Henk de Swardt oversees technical support for Timken's three electric motor workshops (Smith Services, Schulz Electric, and H&N Electric) and the division's Philadelphia Gear gearbox repair and manufacturing facilities.

He earned a Bachelor of Science in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from the University of Johannesburg, South Africa, in 1995. With over 30 years of experience in electric motor design, manufacturing, and repair across OEMs and repair companies worldwide, Henk brings extensive expertise to his field.

Henk holds 11 U.S. patents and has authored nine IEEE-published technical papers along with 33 additional works on electric motor and generator design, manufacturing, repair, and maintenance.
