George Thorpe is currently the Manager of Performance Engineering & Analytics at Cleco Corporation, headquartered in Pineville, Louisiana, operating as a regulated electric public utility in generation, transmission, and distribution. George currently oversees generation performance initiatives, regulatory (NERC & natural gas pipeline) compliance, OT cybersecurity, and DCS control systems supporting services / engineering.  His early career involved generation electrical engineering support, project management of large generation capital projects, and NERC O&P/CIP compliance support. George has leveraged his background to strive for continuous improvement and reliability across Cleco’s asset management.
