Don Wilkins is a seasoned executive with over 30 years of experience in Product Development, Operations, Global Sourcing and Marketing. He holds both a Bachelors and Masters Degree in Engineering from the University of Wisconsin at Madison. He has extensive experience in Microgrids, Hybrid power systems and Oil & Gas power and participates actively in the industry on subjects related to the Energy Transition, Renewables and Hydrogen.
After gaining broad, progressive experience in functional roles in manufacturing at CNH, Mercury Marine, Kohler Generators and PSI, Don progressed into global executive positions with P&L responsibilities venturing beyond his roots in engines and transmissions into oil & gas, fabricating, metallurgy/cladding, and chemicals. Ultimately, his passion for cleaner, greener technologies has lead him back to engines and generators at Caterpillar where he is currently the Gas Generator Strategy Manager for Caterpillar EPD.
