Dan Prascher
Dan has BS and MS Mechanical Engineering degrees from the University of Colorado. Dan has 18 years of experience in gas and hazardous liquid pipeline integrity, 10 years in state and federal regulatory compliance, and 5 years of experience modeling highly volatile liquids (HVLs), including CO2 pipelines. He has modeled more than 4,000 miles of pipeline in that time and has modeled over half of the existing CO2 pipeline miles in the continental United States for the last two years. Dan uses ALOHA (no license needed) and Quest Consultant’s CANARY (license and software training is up to date). Both programs are used to model HVLs in tanks or pipelines. CANARY is more robust than ALOHA and is generally accepted as the industry standard for HVL release modeling.
