Catherine has extensive professional experience in the environmental field, including environmental consulting. Catherine commonly serves as project or task manager on Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) permitting projects and conducts various tasks for NEPA permitting for natural gas pipeline, wind, solar, and coal gasification projects. She coordinates and has contributed to preparation of Environmental Impact Statements and Environmental Assessments for FERC, U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, U.S. Department of Energy, Bureau of Land Management (BLM), and Department of Defense clients. Catherine coordinates with U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, USFWS, and state and local agencies regarding wetland delineations sensitive species surveys, and cultural resource surveys. She prepares sections of EISs, EAs, and FERC reports describing proposed projects and their impacts to human health and safety, socioeconomic resources, land use, worker safety, and cumulative effects; reviewed and edited sections describing water and wetland resources, cultural resources, threatened and endangered species, noise, soils, and geology. She has also coordinated efforts of archaeological and ecological field crews and noise engineers with clients, landowners, and GIS staff.
