Clarion Events Announces Integration of HYDROVISION International® and POWERGEN International® Events – Happening February 11-13, 2025
October 14, 2024 – After careful consideration of the changing requirements in the hydropower market and the broader energy sector, Clarion Events, Inc. announced today that HYDROVISION International® will be integrated into POWERGEN International® as a dedicated neighborhood featuring specialized hydropower content, sourcing, and networking opportunities.
This decision follows extensive discussions with our customers and colleagues and thorough market research to determine how best to support the future of power generation, especially for the hydropower community. While it will no longer be a standalone event, hydropower remains a vital component of the power generation mix. Through this new alignment, we are committed to providing an enhanced platform for this critical sector while maintaining the high-quality content, business connections, and peer-to-peer networking that you have come to expect from HYDROVISION.
Hydro Review®, the premier source for global news, products, services, and insights related to hydropower and dams, will continue to be a key resource. It will continue its focus on essential topics such as equipment, operations and maintenance, rehabilitation, dam safety, environmental impacts, regulation, marine energy, and research.
POWERGEN International® is the primary business hub for power generation professionals, bringing together power producers, utilities, EPCs, consultants, OEMs, and large-scale energy users. With this integration, our objective is to deliver greater value to hydropower professionals by providing the hydropower industry with a broader platform to explore innovative solutions within the evolving energy landscape.
POWERGEN International® will take place February 11-13, 2025, at the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center in Dallas, Texas.
As part of this integration, we are thrilled to introduce new HYDROVISION programming within POWERGEN 2025. This includes the new Hydroelectric topic and the conference track Exploring Trends in Hydropower, designed to dive deep into the latest advancements, challenges, and trends in the sector. Attendees can also take part in focused discussions during our Hydropower Breakfast Roundtables, featuring two compelling topics: Best Practices for Refurbishing Aging Hydro Facilities and The Latest on Policies and Regulations Affecting U.S. Hydro.
