Modern Makeup Water Treatment Methods for Combined Cycle, Cogen and Other Energy Industries

Production of high-purity makeup water is crucial for the reliable operation of high-pressure steam generators and energy-related industries, such as electronics and semiconductor manufacturing. Upsets in water quality can cause corrosion and scaling in boilers, leading to failures and shutdowns. Advances in reverse osmosis, microfiltration, ultrafiltration, ion exchange and electrodeionization have improved water treatment, but challenges remain. 

With the retirement of senior technical staff, newer employees often lack the expertise for knowledgeable decision-making in makeup water management. This presentation aims to equip them with essential insights for makeup treatment system selection and operation.
