Decarbonization

Idaho National Laboratory (INL) is studying the technical pathways to help industrial heat and electricity users decarbonize by integrating advanced nuclear power plants. INL’s project aims to guide specific industries in choosing potential nuclear technologies based on their need. Considerations could include specific hazards from the industrial facility, heat transport requirements and feasibility with site-specific demand profiles.

This presentation will include information about developing a library of process models, guidance on siting considerations and potential investment and ownership strategies for nuclear plants.
